Earn it on court.

The best way up the leaderboard is still the old-fashioned one: play more, play well, and be someone people want to play with again. Lately, some accounts have been taking a shortcut instead.

What we're seeing

More and more accounts are making meets that exist only to trade kudos and pad match history. That looks like:

If your group has "played" eleven times this week, all at 2am, all with perfect scores for each other, we've probably already noticed.

Why people do it

Most of the time it's friends trying to climb the leaderboard together. We get it, the leaderboard is fun.

Sometimes it's less innocent. A stacked profile can make someone look like a credible coach, help attract players to their sessions, or set up a scam. That's the part we care about most.

Kudos is a thank you, not a currency.

It's how you tell someone their drive was nasty, their defence was annoying in the best way, or they organised a great session. Some players also use it to decide who to trust and who to play with.

Faking it goes against the spirit of an honest community. At best it messes up the leaderboard for everyone else. At worst it misleads people who are deciding who to train with, play with, or pay.

What we're doing about it

Reclub is actively finding and dismantling kudos farms. We use automated detection alongside manual review by our team, and we're looking at patterns across meets, kudos and match history.

What can happen to your account

Depending on how serious it is, taking part in kudos farming can lead to:

  1. 1
Account suspensionYour account is paused while we review it.
  2. 2
Lost privilegesSuch as losing the ability to create public meets.
  3. 3
Permanent banFor severe or repeated cases.
